Name: Alex Shikov
Role: Team Leader
Customer Service Experience: Alex has been working in the bike industry for 4 years in several shops in Australia and overseas.
Riding Experience: Alex has been riding bikes since he was 14 years old during this time he has ridden both Mountain Bikes which later made him grow into MTB freeride and dirt jumping, then in his 20’s Alex has moved on to BMX freestyle riding.
What do you love about bikes?: Alex loves the unique feeling of freedom that you get when you are out there riding. It is the sensation of your tires rolling on concrete, that feeling to Alex is better than running driving or swimming or any other outdoor activity.
Expertise: Alex has expertise across BMX Bikes covering entry-, mid- and pro-level (including custom build). Alex also has knowledge across your All-Mountain/Freeride Mountain Bikes.
Current Bikes: Alex currently owns Customized Stereo Bikes 20" BMX, Bauer Suburban Flatbar/Hybrid.
Favourite Ride: Alex enjoys riding outside in the fresh air around the Royal National Park, as well as riding on the roads and tracks with hybrid or jumping kickers at Dulwich Hill and Maroubra skate parks on his BMX, or causally shredding some rails, stairs or cruising downtown on his BMX.

Customer Service Experience: Casey has been with 99 Bikes for 4 years and is a well-rounded and knowledgeable rider both on and off the track.
Riding Experience: Casey enjoys being a weekend/commuter rider at his two favourite tracks.
What do you love about bikes?: Improving fitness and having a sense of freedom are two things that Casey loves most about bikes.
Expertise: Casey’s passion for bikes has helped build his expertise in mechanical knowledge, there is not much that he doesn’t know when it comes to bikes and parts.

Customer Service Experience: Various hospitality roles, bartending and waiting.
Riding Experience: James has ridden bikes his entire life both on and off-road, James is now looking getting into track racing.
What do you love about bikes?: The thing that James loves most about bikes is the challenge of pushing himself to go as fast as possible and the sense of freedom it allows you.
Expertise: James likes older (50’s through to 90’s) steel bikes. With their beautiful panto-graphed frames and lugwork. But I stay up to date with the latest technologies companies are incorporating into their newer bikes.
Current Bikes: 80’s steel frame road bike w/full ultegra, Merida Trail 140mm dual suspension mountain bike, 90’s time trial bike and currently building a dirt jump bike.
Favourite Ride: Either bombing through traffic in the city or out in nature hitting up some trails along the coastline.

Customer Service Experience: Lots of hospitality running bars and restaurants whilst at University, 10 years in the bike industry.
Riding Experience: I founded the University mountain bike club, I was a guide in New Hampshire for a season, and have ridden in South Africa, Thailand, France, Switzerland, UK, Norway, NZ, United Arab Emirates and Australia.
What do you love about bikes?: It is evocative of childhood memories and it clears my head to get out for a ride on my bike.
Expertise: I have worked with bikes for the last 10 years selling and servicing them, I have built my own bikes, changed the bearings, serviced my own suspension and have a strong penchant for mountain biking.
Current Bikes: Steel Single Speed, Titanium hardtail and a 29inch dual suspension.

What do you love about bikes?: The thing that Harry loves about bikes is the feeling of freedom you get from cycling, when you are on a bike you have the chance to go anywhere.
Expertise: Harry has a wealth of experience when it comes to Road Racing and DI2 bikes as well as carbon bikes.
Current Bikes: Harry’s current collection of bikes are Merida Reacto 5000 with UltegraDI2, XDS RX8000, Cannondale Caad9 and a 1968 Peugeot Vintage Road Bike.

Riding Experience: Link has been riding bikes ever since he was five years old, he still remembers the first time he got a Hoffman BMX bike and hit a dirt jump at the local track.
What do you love about bikes?: The thing Link loves about bikes is the sense of ownership and freedom, you can customise a bike to suit your personality and style of riding.
Expertise: Link believes you can never stop learning about bikes it’s a fast moving industry with new models and features coming out all the time.
Current Bikes: Link owns a Merida Big Nine 40 and is looking to purchase a new dual suspension MTB to add to his collection.
Favourite Ride: With all the great tracks there are to ride Link is yet to find a favourite.

Customer Service Experience: Adam has been working in Customer Experience for 12 years.
Riding Experience: Adam has covered nearly every sort of experience there is when it comes to riding a bike. Starting off with Road Racing, Adam then felt the need to explore into the world XC racing, as time went by Adams eager passion for bikes lead him to Downhill racing where he competed on both local and state levels.
What do you love about bikes?: The thing that Adam loves about bikes is the freedom that it brings to our lives, the diversity of bikes and how the components work together. The strong sense of community and the introduction of new comings to the sport, restoring people’s pride and enjoyment in the sport.
Expertise: Adam is well a truly a skilled addition to the team at 99 Bikes, his expertise covers everything from Mechanical Repairs on all makes and models, Adam also enjoys serving customers, wheel building and bike fit ups.
Current Bikes: Adam loves his bikes and is always looking for his next restoration project/purchase. Adam currently owns a Rocky Mountain RMX, Rocky Mountain Element, Abeni Tri, Canelli Corsa, Haro PST, Malvern Star 1950’s, Universal Malvern Star Dragster, and his pride and joy custom made Cruz Low Rider.
Favourite Ride: Adam could not pick his favourite ride, but he managed to narrow it down to three. Coffs Harbour Downhill Course, Ourimbah XC course and Old Pacific highway.

Customer Service Experience: Thomas worked in his parent’s bike shop for 3 years in New Caledonia as a Manager and Sales Mechanic allowing him to be exposed to both sides of running a bike store.
Riding Experience: Thomas used to ride BMX bikes as a teenager and has now made the transition into mountain bikes.
What do you love about bikes?: Thomas loves the simplicity of a bike how it can give you wide variety of sensations it can be silent and peaceful all at once.
Expertise: Thomas shares a balance between passion and expertise when it comes to bikes, he loves being able to restore bikes to their formal build, and also enjoys creating custom made bikes.
Current Bikes: Currently Thomas is riding a Commencal Meta (Mountain Bike).
Favourite Ride: When it comes to his favourite ride Thomas likes to go back to his home town in New Caledonia at Ouenghi.
