Sunglasses are an absolute necessity when riding in most places in the world, but especially Australia where the sun can be pretty intense for most of the year. Sunglasses don’t only protect you from UV’s though. They’re also great for dust, wind, and anything else the road or trail can dish out.

Sock length is a personal matter, but most people in the cycling world wear longer socks for both style and comfort. Three-quarter socks protect your ankles from getting scratched by pebbles or obstacles in both mountain and road biking, plus they often come in funky eye-catching designs that can catch driver’s attention while making your kit look rad.

Most socks are cotton, but for cycling in cooler weather a nice pair of Merino wool socks can be insulating while also wicking sweat.
