Name: Richard Sutherland
Role: Future Team Leader
Customer Service Experience: Over 20 years experience in retail service with horticulture, travel and bike industry.
Riding Experience: Pushed down the drive way without training wheels when I was 2 by big brother, fell off, cried, and got back up...this led to a brief racing career in my 20's with success coming with victory in the Cunningham Classic (Gatton to Warwick). Worked as a pushie courier for 5 years and have always had bikes.
What do you love about bikes?: I still get that sense of freedom when you get on a bike, I can turn left or I can turn right. It clears your mind when on a Sunday arvoyou just go for a ride in the park, punch out 100k on Saturday morning or shred @ Bunyaville before you head out.
Expertise: I pride myself on my customer service and finding the right bike for you...whether it be family ride, 200k cherity ride or hitting the trails and mud.
Current Bikes: Classic steel road bike, Highend carbon road bike, Cooper 3 speed steel commuter, Norco single speed, Soon to be 'Norco Sight C7.2'. Very excited!
Favourite Ride: My last one...or is it my next one... Also the Ride To Conquer Cancer

Name: Paul Donkin
Role: Mechanic
Customer Service Experience: I have been with 99 Bikes for years now and transitioning from sales to mechanic has given me a wide range of experience to be able to help with just about anything.
Riding Experience: Started off on BMX as a kid and never stopped riding since. I have progressed through Downhill, All mountain, fixed gear and a little bit of Road.
What do you love about bikes?: Adrenaline is an amazing feeling and when you are riding and you can't wipe the smile off your face your doing it right.
Expertise: Downhill would be it as flying down the side of a mountain with 40 foot jumps and drop offs is just too much fun.
Current Bikes: Lapierre team DH, Norco Range, Colony Teddy, Merida Reacto 907, My Tall bike and N+1
Favourite Ride: Trails out the back of Nerang. Tewantin trails and any good skatepark.

Name: Conor Claffey
Role: Sales Consultant
Customer Service Experience: I've been working with customers for 4 years now.
Riding Experience: I have ridden various fixed gear and steel road bikes into the ground since the age of 16, but have started to get more competitive recently on the track and on the road. After graduating uni, I strapped a bivy bag onto my bike, chucked a messenger bag on my back and rode to Sydney in 6 days. I also don't mind blundering/crashing through the bush on a MTB when my ego gets too big.
What do you love about bikes?: It's the only physical exercise I have ever enjoyed doing, mostly because it doesn't feel like exercise. There is nothing better than the satisfaction of covering 200+ kilometres in a day and looking wrecked by the end. You get to eat as much as you like, provided you put the kilometres in.
Expertise: Looking good on a bike, though my colleagues would be inclined to disagree.
Current Bikes: Road bike, two classic steel track bikes, MTB, saving my pennies for a Lapierre Xelius Ultimate!
Favourite Ride: Anything with big climbs in it! Brisbane to Killarney, Palmwoods-Montville Road or the Old Pacific Highway en route to Sydney.

Name: Lauren 'Loz' Fraser
Role: Sales Consultant
Customer Service Experience: 3+ years experience working in the retail industry. I also currently own and run a successful personal training business.
Riding Experience: Currently in my final years of a Sport Science degree at QUT, looking specifically into performance analysis of professional cyclists.
What do you love about bikes?: Bikes are such a fantastic investment in your health. I love the fitness benefits you get from riding. Not to mention that cyclists have the best butts!
Expertise: I'm the only chick who works in the store and I have a pretty good eye for detail, so I'd be the one to ask about decking yourself out in the best gear. Whether it be finding the perfect fit for a shoe or matching your helmet to the colour of your bike, I'm your girl when it comes to accessories.
Current Bikes: Recently returned from travelling overseas and had to on-sell a beloved bike or two to cover the trip. So I'm now down to just one bike - a good all-rounder Merida Crossway 100.
Favourite Ride: I'm originally from the Sunny Coast, so when I visit on the weekends I love going for a morning ride from Mooloolaba to Coolum. Anywhere up in the Hinterland around the back of Maleny is a beautiful ride too. I really enjoy the open air.
