Joining a club is one of the best ways to meet other cyclists and improve your riding ability.
When looking at clubs you need to consider your goals and riding preferences. There are clubs which specialise in road cycling, while others might be aimed at triathlon, BMX or mountain biking. Some will focus more on racing while others will organise regular social rides and events.
By joining a club you will also have the opportunity to get personal accident insurance through the sport's governing body. This is important if you wish to compete at local events and races.
For road and track cycling, see the clubs page at www.qld.cycling.org.au
For triathlon, see the 'Clubs and Coaches' tab at www.triathlonqld.com.au
For mountain bike clubs, see the latest information at www.mtba.asn.au
For BMX clubs, see more at www.bmxq.org.au
