Customer Service Experience: 8 years experience working in bicycle shops as a sales consultant and warranty manager. Love the challenge of finding the right solution for each customer.
Riding Experience: Began mountain biking 17 years ago on the family farm when I had no where to skateboard like my cool friends in town! I've ridden downhill (badly) until I saw the light and realised climbing was as much fun as descending. Now I ride everything I can whether it's up or down. My two favourite places to ride in Adelaide are Sturt Gorge and Fox Creek. Kilometres of flowing, rewarding single track goodness in both locations. I also enjoy riding road bikes and love linking together unpaved sections of road and fire trail. Just completed the Mawson Trail too. I can see more rides for me like that in the future.
What do you love about bikes?: Knowing that it's all down to personal effort to get to your destination. Going fast over rocks and roots. The sound of tyres on dirt or road. The feeling in your legs at the end of a big days riding.
Expertise: Hiding the pain of riding with my mates. They're all just so damn fast!
Current Bikes: Merida Scultura 7000-E, Norco Search C105, Surly Ogre, All City Space Horse
Favourite Ride: Any ride where it's good mates, good conditions riding a trail right on each others wheel.

Customer Service Experience: I started working in bike shops almost 20 years ago and a lot of bikes have come through my workshop since then. As a mechanic that also works on the shop floor, my technical knowledge helps guide customers into choosing the right product for their specific needs.
Riding Experience: I grew up in the Scottish countryside and pretty early on began throwing myself down muddy hillsides and spending all my spare money on bikes. Working in a bike shop only fueled my addiction as the new shiny bits that arrived would always look so good on my bike…all in the name of better product knowledge of course! Racing in the Scottish DH series was more of a social thing for me rather than getting podium spots every weekend but still counts for some of the best weekends away with mates I can remember. As well as riding bikes, through a research placement at university I shaped the provision of ‘extreme’ trails in Scotland and influenced the Forestry Commission GB into working with ‘illegal’ trail builders instead of bulldozing them. The search for the legendary dry trail eventually brought me to Adelaide in 2007, here I found out that mountain biking does not necessarily end with 30 minutes thawing out your feet in front of a heater! Since coming to Australia I’ve taken full advantage of the perfect riding climate and access to great trails within 20 mins of the city. I now enjoy challenging myself uphill as well as down for the complete experience.
What do you love about bikes?: Getting out into the country with mates, challenging yourself on new trails and the banter that combines the two.
Expertise: XC, Trail and All Mountain. Getting riders back on the trail/tarmac after a mechanical.
Current Bikes: Custom Rocky Mountain Element Team RSL, Custom BMC Superstroke 01, Felt F5, Schwinn Cruiser Tandem, Unicycle (risen badly).
Favourite Ride: Anything with good single track. Fox Creek is awesome but I also love the more natural rooty and rocky trails around Belair/Blackwood/Sturt Gorge.

Customer Service Experience: Having spent my formative years in pubs, either working or drinking I have developed a strong vocabulary for talking trash about bikes all day and every day.
Riding Experience: I got caught in the mad fixie craze of 2006 and just never really stopped. It even got as bad as me purchasing a Cinelli Mash (the sick Benny Gold edition in green and a size too small to go faster) and riding that up the biggest hills I could find. After crashing a few times I moved to road for a while, and then graduated to cyclocross, never actually racing, just hitting trails and having a laugh with mates. That then escalated into full on touring, which culminated into riding to Melbourne after a few practice runs with some friends, in the middle of winter, which went very wrong very quickly, but was really good fun, but cold. Ever so cold. These days I've been loving touring bikes, and am obsessed with super light weight cross bikes with the ambition of maybe racing if I ever get motivated. I have also been getting into mountain biking in a big way in recent months, which has been fantastic.
What do you love about bikes?: I have never in my entire life been unhappy on a bike. At no point have I ever wanted to stop riding, sure I've been tired, irritated and unpleasant to be around sometimes, but it has never stopped me riding bikes, and I hope it never will. Plus when I met my wife, she said I looked rad on my Cinelli and was impressed I could skid (it's not hard, but I wont teach you).
Expertise: Insane wealth of bike knowledge from pouring over web pages and a deep and intrinsic love of everything bicycle related (especially touring stuff!)
Current Bikes: Soma Wolverine, All City Nature Boy, GT Sensor Carbon Pro.
Favourite Ride: Currently loving Blue Gum out at Eagle-on-the hill (close to home) and Dirty Dozen out at Fox. Also the ride to Willunga is always a hoot and a holler.

Customer Service Experience: I have worked in retail for almost 5 years, continually training to provide the best service I can which is something quite important to me.
Riding Experience:A few years ago I got involved with the Adelaide Bike Kitchen and felt so inspired by the community there that I ended up giving my car away and I decided to ride wherever I could. This turned into a few adventures with friends, one in particular where we decided to it would be a great idea to ride to Melbourne. The day came and no one backed out so we went! None of us had trained because we didn’t want to know how hard it was going to be and figured that we’d get fit as we rode. I ended up having the best time.
What do you love about bikes?: So much. I love arriving at my destination feeling alive, I love the freedom of riding, I love that it’s faster than walking because that’s so boring, I love that I can fly through traffic not having to wait for backed up cars and I love the people who ride, the community is awesome and we want to change the world.
Expertise: Road and Hybrid
Current Bikes: Norco Threshold SL Force, Apollo Concorde and a Very Pink Bike.
Favourite Ride: Ecocaddy Night Ride!

Customer Service Experience: I got my first job in a bike shop 27 years ago. More recently I've spent the last 10 years experience working in bicycle shops as a sales consultant and Mechanic.
Riding Experience: I started road racing at the age of 15 and at 17 made the state junior road team and went on to earn a bronze medal in the team time trial. I have raced most disciplines including track cycling, downhill, cross country and cyclo cross. my current passion lies in mountain bike trail riding - especially the fast flowy stuff.
What do you love about bikes?: I love the freedom that the bike brings, I've found so many amazing places and had a lifetime of amazing experiences all because of the bike. Let's not forget the friendships, bike people are awesome!

Favourite Ride: Fox Creek

Role: Sales Consultant
Customer Service Experience: I worked in real estate throughout 2016, and in a bakery for a while before I started my dream job at 99 Bikes.
Riding Experience: Growing up in Alice Springs I spent most of my time on a hard tail mountain bike on the endless trails around town. I fell in love with road cycling over a year ago now when I moved to the city, and I ride just about every day now.
What do you love about bikes?: I love the freedom a bike can give you. Every ride is an adventure, and how far you can go is only limited by how much time you've got. "If I can bicycle, I bicycle" - Sir. David Attenborough
Expertise: Anything with two wheels that goes on the road. From your daily commuter bike to full carbon Ironman triathlon level bikes.
Current Bikes: Kona Penthouse, Merida Reacto 7000-e, Merida Big Nine XT Edition.
Favourite Ride: A ride along the beach with a nice tailwind and good friends who always push you to new heights.
