About Me

Whilst my days are mostly spent at the hospital, when I’ve got some downtime you’ll mainly find me walking my dog or out to brunch with friends.

While I’m relatively new to cycling, I’ve been riding horses my whole life and hoping some of my horse-riding skills come in handy on the bike!

I also love being outdoors, particularly hiking and camping and I try to get out of the city to the bush as often as possible.

I’m making a big effort this year to reduce my carbon footprint and reducing how often I drive is a main priority!

Finally a perfect ride week! The sun has been shining and I’ve ridden to and from work every day this week yay! The crisp mornings have me rugging up but it’s so refreshing and wakes me up better than a coffee! And the best thing is I never have to worry about finding a park, just cruise straight in and I”m ready to go. My work is very bicycle friendly so I’m trying to convince all my colleagues to invest in an e-bike too, it’s so much more convenient than driving. Lets go for another perfect ride week this week!

I’ve been a bit tired and run down this week so really loving the boost that the Pedal Lightning gives me when my legs aren’t up to it. The dark evenings have me relying on my wonderful lights and accessories that work perfectly with my Pedal, making sure I get home from work safely! As the weather gets cooler I’m barely even breaking a sweat anymore on my rides to work! Looking forward to even more rides next week!

It’s been a wet and windy week in Sydney so I haven’t gotten in as many kms as I had planned but in between the downpours I’ve been zipping to and from work on my Pedal bike, dodging puddles in potholes. I am so grateful to have my amazing bike and all the bike paths around my city. I honestly barely use my car anymore, it’s so freeing to not be bound to the morning traffic and be doing my bit for the environment.

It’s been a busy week for me but I’m still managing to get my rides in to and from work. Im really enjoying using this time as an escape from my hectic schedule and a chance to completely switch of from everything and just enjoy the ride. My fitness is improving and I’m powering up the hills with less achy legs. I’ve been exploring more bike paths near my house and love the feeling of zooming around off the road as I still find riding on the road a bit intimidating as a novice rider. I genuinely feel the Pedal Lightning is perfect for me as a very amateur cyclist as it gives me a feeling of extra security knowing I can quickly boost off from a standstill and also knowing how sturdy and secure the bike is. Furthermore, it looks brilliant! Looking forward to more time for rides next week hopefully!

Update Two

It’s been another amazing week in Sydney, perfect weather for riding. The cooler mornings mean I get to work on my Pedal Lightning refreshed and ready to go. I’ve started playing with the gears a bit more this week and getting the hang of it up hills especially. I even had someone riding in my slipstream yesterday so I must have been going really fast!! My saddle soreness is improving too as I get used to riding every day, so it’s wins all round!

I am absolutely loving having my Pedal Ebike and have been showing it off to everyone at work! It’s been perfect weather this week and I’m really enjoying my morning commute in particular as the sun rises. It’s literally halved my trip to and from work, which means I have so much more time in the day! My dog is happy too because he gets longer walks! Here is a photo of me picking up my bike last week (in the torrential rain) and my afternoon ride today!

The sun is finally out and it’s been glorious weather, perfect for zipping around on my Pedal Lightning! I’ve just discovered a new cycle path, which makes getting to and from work so much fun!
