Versatile can be fast, and fast can be versatile, too. That's why, with the Cube Nulane Flat Bar Road Bike, Cube added mounting points to the frame for easy mudguard and carrier upgrades. There are even lowrider rack points on the full carbon fork, so it's practical as well as comfortable. Superlite double-butted aluminium frame tubes keep the weight down. Add in flat mount disc attachment points for sleek looks and the best-stopping performance, and finish it off with thru-axles front and rear to ensure safe and predictable handling, laden or unladen. The Cube Nulane Flat Bar Road Bike truly is a beauty, both to look at and to ride.
The Nulane takes the road bike rule book and lobs it into the nearest gutter. The mix of flat bar, road bike DNA, a lightweight aluminium frame and carbon fork and plenty of mounting points, as well as Tektro Disc Brakes and Shimano Claris gears, equate to a bike that's fast, responsive, comfortable, easy-to-ride and all-around a great ride, every time.
Smooth Welding
Smooth Welding isn't easy, but worthwhile things usually aren't. It has two advantages. First, and most obviously, it looks great: one tube seems to almost flow into the other. Second, and at least as importantly, it helps to minimise load peaks on welded areas for better frame strength and durability.
Aluminium SuperLite
Cube's Aluminium Superlite starts with heat-treated 6061 aluminium, which has high fatigue-resistance, good stiffness, low weight and excellent strength, all qualities that are important for a bicycle frame. This is moulded into double-butted tubes, to reduce weight without sacrificing any of its strength. The result? Exceptionally light, strong and tough frames.
Gravel Comfort Geometry
Combining years of road and off-road bicycle building expertise, Cube's Gravel Comfort Geometry is the secret ingredient that makes gravel series bikes such a blast to ride. Nimble enough to mix it up in the rough, stable enough for reassuring descents and with comfort for the long haul. This is applied to the Nulane, so it can take on rougher paths at speed and is comfy enough to commute on and take on long rides as well as more traditional road riding.
