The Merida Big Nine SLX-Edition is a hardtail mountain bike limited by name only - ready to hit the trails hard. The lightweight Big Nine Alloy frame with race proven geometry comes with internally routed cables in 2022 to minimise maintenance and keep your bike looking clean and tidy. What really makes the Merida Big Nine SLX-Edition stand out is its frame, the LITE brings the same race-proven geometry from the carbon models to an affordable platform. Featuring a long reach, steep 73.5 seat angle and slack 70 head angle for aggressive agility with a good dose of stability this is a bike you can power up climbs on and through twisty technical sections with ease and then descend through through loose aggressive terrain with issue. The Merida Big Nine SLX-Edition starts to bridge the gap between cross country hardtails and all around trail hardtail. It runs a simple yet sleek 1x12 speed Shimano Deore and XT Drivetrain which is more than capable when it comes to those hard climbs as it rolls with smooth efficiency and clean gear changes. A 1x setup is the gold standard in mountain biking as it offers a wide range of gears yet the simplicity minimises hassle and maintenance.
The Big Nine SLX-Edition is equipped with a Manitou Markhor Comp Fork (51mm offset) with remote lockout and 100mm travel for a smooth and agile ride. With such a clean cockpit you've got enough room to add a dropper post to the Merida Big Nine SLX-Edition Mountain bike, the frame comes equipped with dropper post ready internal cable mounting options. It wouldn't be the Big Nine without 29" Merida Comp CC Wheels and Maxxis Ikon 2.2" Tyres for a quick and smooth ride. Ride with confidence, hitting every descent or turn hard thanks to the upgraded and reliable Shimano Deore M4100 2 Piston Hydraulic Disc Brakes and big 180mm Shimano RT30 rotor up front which give you unmatched control in all conditions. The Merida Big Nine SLX-Edition Mountain Bike offers cross-country versatility with hydraulic disc brakes, alloy frame and endless possibilities.
