Prolite 66 Triple Butted Aluminium
Using high-end 6066 aluminium and triple butted wall thicknesses, this frame offers strength and durability without excess weight. The hydroforming technology helps to tune the aluminium tubes to give the best possible stiffness to weight ratio.
Hydroformed Tubes
Using their Hydro Forming System, Merida creates frames that are strong yet lightweight. The tubes are inserted into a negative mould and a hot emulsion of water and oil is passed through them at pressure which enables them to be formed into complex shapes while still retaining strength.
