Tapered Head Tube

This design is stiffer than a conventional straight head tube and yields a more secure ride feel even in difficult terrain. Minimal flex at the front of the frame means the greatest possible steering precision. With the larger steerer, the forks become more rigid and the weight is saved due to the absence of bearing shells as the lower bearing is fully integrated into the head tube.

P-Flex Technology

Merida's proprietary P-Flex technology, uses the inherent compliance of the carbon and a leaf-spring-like frame design, to allow the frame to flex near the seat and chainstay junction enough to make the pivot point obsolete, all without impacting durability. This gives you a lighter bike and increased stiffness for a better ride.

Nano Matrix Carbon

To give you the strongest and best Carbon frames, Merida utilises Nano Matrix technology. The Carbon fibres are bonded together using an epoxy resin with added nano particles which increases the impact resistance by up to 40%!
