Cyling Weekly

With updated geometry for 2022, the Merida Scultura 10K is the class-leading road bike of the pro peloton thanks to its revised design which has resulted in the most aerodynamic frame ever seen on a Scultura. It's still more than comfortable enough for Gran Fondos, Mountain Passes and everything in between. The Scultura Team 10K is the comfort-focused and lightweight sibling of the Reacto, but don't mistake that for a sacrifice in performance: it effortlessly slices through the air, and accelerates on a dime. Taking advantage of Merida's highest grade carbon, the CF5 carbon frame is their most compliant yet offering a stiff chassis that transfers power effortlessly. It's clear to see the similarities to the Reacto range, with the Scultura 10K offering a lightweight ride, slick rolling and razor-sharp handling for race day. Ridden by Sonny Colbrelli, Wout Poels and Matej Mohorič, the Scultura has won multiple WorldTour stages, including on the Tour de France. Indeed, its race-winning pedigree began long before it was released to the public. The Scultura 10K is Merida's dream spec list for the Scultura, with this build list barely tipping the scales at the UCI weight limit.

The Scultura 10K features the all-new Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 drivetrain. Optimised for rapid climbing, the 10K features a 52-36T crankset with an integrated power meter paired with the all-new Dura-Ace 11-30T 12-speed cassette meaning you'll always be able to attack steep gradients and glide past your competitors in the search for the polka dot jersey. As the latest iteration of the Shimano Di2 range, the Dura-Ace Di2 groupset provides the quickest shifting action of any wireless groupset, offering a massive 45% decrease over the previous model. Alongside the new Di2 drivetrain, you receive the new Dura-Ace Hydraulic Disc Brakes that offer increased modulation, power and cooling for enhanced control and confidence on all gradients, terrains and weather conditions. Naturally, with the Scultura 10K aiming for the UCI weight limit, Merida equipped it with Zipp's 353 NSW carbon rims which tip the scales at a measly 1,255g and offer a significant aerodynamic advantage on climbs. While the improved tyre clearance of the latest generation Scultura Fork means 700 x 28c Continental GP5000 tyres have been provided for a rapid and efficient ride. Finally, thanks to Merida's nifty decision to use the Dura-Ace Di2 drivetrain alongside their proprietary Team SL 1P Integrated Cockpit, you get a clean aesthetic, a more natural and aerodynamic riding position and additional aerodynamic coefficient savings.

The Merida Scultura 10K is Merida's lightest ever road racer. When it comes to all-out climbing performance, especially with its lightweight design, spec list and class-leading compliance, the Scultura 10K is designed to be a rocket-fuelled climbing weapon. With the all-new frame design, Merida has ensured that ride comfort is not sacrificed in the pursuit of weight savings or aerodynamic gains. The seat tube has been shortened and the clamp lowered to allow the carbon seatpost to intuitively flex with the rider. Other noticeable changes include wider tyre clearances, a shorter chainstay and a lower bottom bracket drop to keep you agile yet comfortable. If you're a weight weenie that's always looking to save precious grams here and there, the Scultura 10K is the ultimate platform to begin with. This is the model for aggressive riders and racers alike looking to win hillclimbing events and set new records. To be the best, you have to be the lightest, every day.

New Scultura Frame Family

Newly updated for 2022, the new Scultura frame family incorporates aero details from the award-winning Reacto aero bike making this generation of Scultura the most aerodynamic ever. Now sharing its geometry with the Reacto, the Scultura takes its proven agility, comfort and lightweight design to the next level.

Precise Steering

All Scultura models feature a full carbon fork with a tapered steerer to give precise confidence-inspiring steering. Alloy and CF2 carbon models feature a ‘regular’ 1 1/8" to 1 1/2" taper. The high-end CF4 frame has a slimmed down front profile and uses a 1 1/8" to 1 1/4" taper.

Disc Cooling Technology

A forged aluminium part under the rear disc brake calliper draws heat away through CNC-milled cooling fins giving 35 % less heat build-up and faster temperature reduction for a stable braking performance. Now you can brake with confidence even on long descents.
