Travel and geometry remain the same as the 2020 version and for less than seven grand, the eOne-Sixty 500 still gets you a Shimano EP8 motor, 630Wh battery, Shimano 12 speed drivetrain and RockShox air-sprung suspension."
The Merida eOne Sixty 500 is a dual suspension e-bike loaded with advanced Shimano STePS e-bike technology which is built to get you to the top with ease, yet still has the capability to really let it rip on the downhill. The eOne Sixty is equipped with a performance focused alloy frame with an in-tube Shimano E8036 630Wh Battery (E8035 - 504Wh Battery for XS Size) integrated into the frame for a clean look and balanced feel. The 630Wh offers 25% increase in capacity over the older 504Wh model, matched with the brand new Shimano EP8 Motor which replaces the older E8000 motor. It also packs a bigger punch with 85 Nm and is also lighter by 300 grams for a swift ride. It has an 'internal block' built right into the frame, which prevents the fork crown from hitting the frame when you crash, as well as the addition of extra rubber bumpers on the frame to avoid any frame damage from the fork crown
You know that the e-bike components on this bike are awesome, but so is the rest of the spec on this bike. The RockShox 35 Gold RL Fork brings 160mm travel to tame the trails and help give this bike some punchy personality. The Shimano Deore shifters and rear derailleur offer smooth shifting, while the Shimano M4100 Hydraulic Disc Brakes give you all of the stopping power to control this beast and ride with confidence. Add to that the hand picked Kenda Regolith 29x2.4"Front Tyre/ 27.5x2.6" Rear Tyre combination to ensure that this heavier full suspension e-bike offers precision, playfulness, and traction on the trails. It's all finished off with a Merida Comp TR Dropper Post so that you can get out of your seat and really let it rip.
The 500 is a decent improvement over the entry-level Merida eOne Sixty 300 S, upgrading the suspension from Suntour to a RockShox 35 Gold RL/Deluxe Select + combination as well as the added benefit of the brand new Shimano EP8 Drive Unit - which is well worth the upgrade. When all is considered, the Merida eOne Sixty 500 is an extremely capable bike with reliable Shimano e-bike components that will do the hard work for you so that you can enjoy the best aspects of mountain biking.

Comes equipped with the new EP8 motor from Shimano STePS. It offers an increased performance of 85 Nm, less weight, a further reduction in size and less friction. On top of that, the new internal battery offers an extended range and super-fast charging capabilities.
Clever Wheels
To give the e-full suspension bikes precise steering, fantastic rolling over obstacles, yet offering maximum traction, we have combined a 29er front wheel with a 2.5" tyre and a 650B rear wheel, equipped with a slightly wider 2.6" tyre. The perfect combination of precision, playfulness and traction. process.
Internal Block
First introduced in 2015, the e-bike version of the 'Internal Block' is incorporated directly into the frame and prevents the fork crown from hitting the frame in case of a crash or an extreme steering angle. As an extra protection, there are additional rubber bumpers on the frame to avoid any frame damage from the fork crown.
