It is equipped with the 2019 RaceLite 6066 Aluminum frame, which is a lighter and more advanced frame than previous years. The frame is lighter, yet stiffer because of additional heat treatment and triple-butted wall thickness. While the tapered head tube with 1 1/8" bearings in the top and 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" in the bottom also improves stiffness and steering. The double pass welding finishes off the frame nicely, giving it that clean carbon like appearance. The Shimano E8000 motor and E8010 battery has all the power you will need to help get you up the biggest hills and enjoy the ride.
The eOne Sixty 900 has 155mm travel in the rear and 160mm travel in the front so that you really can handle the biggest challenges nature has to throw at you. While a Shimano XT drivetrain takes care of shifting duties, providing crisp shifts and reliability. Braking is also taken care of by Shimano, with hydraulic disc brakes so that you can have the confidence to push the limits when you ride. The Merida eOne Sixty 900 is a great bike to take your mountain biking from casual and recreational to the next level, with assistance to take you further and faster. The range of high quality Shimano parts and the Merida eOne Sixty Frame will give you reliability and performance that will last through all the challenges you can give it on the trails. Whether you are after a helping hand or just want to focus on the fun parts of mountain biking, an e-MTB is a great option for recreational and serious riders.
Prolite 66 Triple Butted Aluminum 2019: Our proven high-end aluminium (6066) is extremely light and durable. Using triple butted wall thicknesses and hydroforming technology, we can tune the aluminium tubes to give the best possible stiffness to weight ratio.
X-Taper Headtube 2019: Using a tapered head tube with 1 1/8" bearings in the top and 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" in the bottom creates superb stiffness and precise, confidence inspiring steering.
Smooth Welding 2019: Sometimes called ‘double pass welding’, a second pass over the weld gives a clean organic look to the frame. At first glance you will be convinced it is carbon.
Internal Cable 2019: Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.
Smart Entry 2019: Cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trail gets rough. All inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake cable and gear cable housings etc.
DI2 Ready 2019: Bikes/frames with the symbol ‘Di2 Ready’ are prepared for the installation of Di2 technology with battery mounting in the seat post or within the fork steerer.
C-S Post Mount Disc 2019: Post mount disc brake calipers fit directly onto the seat stay for a strong and light connection whilst a chainstay post mount positions the caliper on the chainstay within the rear triangle for extra protection and better distribution of braking forces. Another benefit is that internal cable routing is also easier and neater via the chainstay.
15-100 Thru-Axle 2019: Selected front forks use a 100 mm wide through axle 12 or 15 mm in diameter to increase lateral stiffness. A 142 mm wide 12 mm rear axle fixed directly into the frame increases rear end stiffness whilst simplifying wheel removal and replacement.
12-148 Thru-Axle ‘Boost’ 2019: New Boost standard – wider axle widths; 110 mm front and 148 mm rear, allowing a shallower spoke angle for stiffer wheels, especially beneficial in 29ers.
Lock-Out 2019: The suspension fork and/or rear shock can be locked, either directly or via a ‘remote control’ lever on the handlebar.

In September 1972, Ike Tseng (1932–2012) a brilliant engineer and visionary founded MERIDA. While visiting the USA, Ike saw a sign in a bike shop that stated refusal to repair any Taiwanese bikes, due to the unfavourable quality. As a result of this he set out to fulfil his dream of high quality bikes made in Taiwan and formed the MERIDA Industry Company Ltd.
The MERIDA name has three syllables Me-Ri-Da and it is the company’s intention to manufacture beautiful, high quality bikes that enables everyone to reach their destination enjoyably. MERIDA created a world-leading bike factory but Ike still wasn’t satisfied, so in 1988 the MERIDA brand was launched. Ike’s vision is still very much a part of MERIDA, manufacturing all kinds of bikes from children’s bikes to world-class professional road and mountain bikes for the Bahrain- MERIDA team riders. Everybody has a different journey, and everyone can benefit from a MERIDA.
