The Merida Matts 7.100 is an entry level hardtail mountain bike designed specifically for female riders so that they can ride in efficient comfort and experience the joys of bike riding. The women’s specific build includes a different stem, low stand-over height, handlebars, and women’s specific saddle to give you an extremely comfortable ride for an entry-level mountain bike. The 6061 aluminium frame is lighter and more advanced, with additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thickness to produce a light and stiff frame which is easy to handle. While the double pass welding gives the frame a clean carbon-like appearance and sharp finish that impresses your fiends.

The brakes are also adjustable to suit the riders preference, making for an easier reach to reduce hand fatigue and increase confidence in your ride for maximum fun and safety. The Matts 7.100 is made with a 27 speed Shimano drivetrain, Shimano MT-200 Hydraulic Disc Brakes with 160mm rotors and Merida 27.5” tyres. The Shimano MT-200 Hydraulic disc brakes are great value on a bike at this price, offering excellent stopping power in all conditions to ensure that you can ride with confidence. The Suntour XCM HLO Fork will give you a smooth ride on rougher surfaces and let you enjoy the rougher aspects of mountain biking with a bit of extra comfort. All of these quality parts come together to create a great value hardtail mountain bike that is well-suited for women’s cross country, commuting or leisure riding with your friends.

Features

Racelite 61 Aluminium: We use a minimum of 6061 aluminium. The pay back is that it’s possible to make lighter and more advanced frames. We use an additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thicknesses to produce light and stiff frames.

Internal Cable Routing: Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.

Down Tube Exit: Ensures that internally routed cables and wires can’t move freely and remain easily accessible for servicing.

About Merida

In September 1972, Ike Tseng (1932–2012) a brilliant engineer and visionary founded MERIDA. While visiting the USA, Ike saw a sign in a bike shop that stated refusal to repair any Taiwanese bikes, due to the unfavourable quality. As a result of this he set out to fulfil his dream of high quality bikes made in Taiwan and formed the MERIDA Industry Company Ltd.

The MERIDA name has three syllables Me-Ri-Da and it is the company’s intention to manufacture beautiful, high quality bikes that enables everyone to reach their destination enjoyably. MERIDA created a world-leading bike factory but Ike still wasn’t satisfied, so in 1988 the MERIDA brand was launched. Ike’s vision is still very much a part of MERIDA, manufacturing all kinds of bikes from children’s bikes to world-class professional road and mountain bikes for the Bahrain- MERIDA team riders. Everybody has a different journey, and everyone can benefit from a MERIDA.
