Merida Ride 500 Disc is an endurance focused road bike with disc brakes, perfect for riders who want a more comfortable position for their road cycling. The Ride series features a more comfort focused frame geometry, making it perfect for recreational cyclists who want to spend longer out on the road enjoying their ride.
The Merida Ride series features a longer wheelbase and shorter top tube. This creates a more upright, relaxed riding position, as opposed to a more stretched out and aerodynamic position favoured by race oriented bikes. This riding position means improved comfort, meaning a more enjoyable experience over longer rides.
Disc brakes are a great upgrade and a new feature finding its way into road cycling. Disc brakes have long been a feature of mountain bikes due to their improve braking performance (particularly in the wet), with technological advances to decrease their weight leading to their growing popularity for road riders.
