The Silverback Stratos AL Comp MS sits toward the more budget-friendly end of Silverback's Dual Suspension Trail Bike Stratos Range. However, just because it suits budget-focused riders, don't think you're missing out! The whole Stratos 2023 range has been redesigned to make use of some pretty amazing technology and design features and you still have some awesome components included. The end goal is the same as it's always been for the Stratos though - to ensure you finish each run with a grin and feel ready to head up for one more lap!
The Silverback Stratos AL Comps MS utilises an Aluminium XC & Trail frame based on the award-winning Stratos CF platform. The Stratos AL Comp MS is designed around 130mm SR Suntour Raidon Forks up front and a 105mm SR Suntour Rear Shock to provide a little extra comfort and the ability to roll over rough terrain and take on big hits without skipping a beat. Additionally, fast-rolling 29" wheels and wide, sticky Maxxis Rekon Tyres will keep you rubber side down, while powerful Tektro Hydraulic Disc Brakes take care of the stopping power and a 10-Speed Microshift drivetrain provides smooth shifting performance and ensures there's a gear for any incline. The Silverback Stratos AL Comp MS comes stock with internal cable routing and a dropper post to keep you in the optimal riding position, whatever the trail throws at you.
POP GEOMETRY ADAPTED FOR TRAIL
Position-Of-Power geometry is designed to engage bigger muscle groups in pedaling, producing more power output for the same amount of input. Longer frames place the rider forward, in a more balanced position, improving grip on the rear on climbs and on the front for descents. A longer wheelbase and slacker head angle means more control at speed.

ASYMMETRIC FRAME AND RIMS
A frame's drive side sees different loading than the non-drive side. Power transfer through the drivetrain is consistent and ramps up gradually. By contrast, the brakes exert sudden and high loads during deceleration. Stratos AL asymmetric design is tailored to distribute these variable forces according to their respective magnitude and intensity. Additionally, asymmetrical rims offer better stress triangulation/balance between both sides, improving durability.
