The Silverback Stratos AL Elite is Silverback's Elite level dual suspension Trail Bike. The whole 2023 Stratos range has been redesigned to make use of some pretty amazing technology and design features but the end goal is the same - to ensure you finish each run with a grin and feel ready to head up for one more lap!
The Stratos range utilises an Aluminium XC & Trail frame based on the award-winning Stratos CF platform. The Stratos Al Elite is designed around 130mm Manitou Machette Air Sprung forks up front and a 105mm SR Suntour Rear Shock to provide a little extra comfort and the ability to roll over rough terrain and take on big hits without skipping a beat. Additionally, fast-rolling 29" wheels and sticky Maxxis Tyres will keep you rubber side down, while powerful Tektro Hydraulic Disc Brakes take care of the stopping power and a Shimano Deore drivetrain provides smooth shifting performance and ensures there's a gear for any incline. The Stratos AL Elite comes stock with internal cable routing and a dropper post to keep you in the optimal riding position, whatever the trail throws at you.
POP GEOMETRY ADAPTED FOR TRAIL
Position-Of-Power geometry is designed to engage bigger muscle groups in pedaling, producing more power output for the same amount of input. Longer frames place the rider forward, in a more balanced position, improving grip on the rear on climbs and on the front for descents. A longer wheelbase and slacker head angle means more control at speed.

The Silverback Stratos AL Elite Dual Suspension Mountain Bike comes kitted out with awesome components including 130mm Manitou Marchette Forks, an SR Suntour Rear Shock, Tektro Brakes, and an 11-Speed Shimano Deore drivetrain, as well as a dropper post and internal cable routing as standard.
ASYMMETRIC FRAME AND RIMS
A frame's drive side sees different loading, compared to the non-drive side. Power transfer through the drivetrain is consistent and ramps up gradually. By contrast, the brakes exert sudden and high loads during deceleration. Stratos AL asymmetric design is tailored to distribute these variable forces according to their respective magnitude and intensity. Additionally, asymmetrical rims offer better stress triangulation/balance between both sides, improving durability.
