Meet The Team

Name: Stephen Morrisey
Role: Team Leader
Customer Service Experience: Work experience out of High school was at the local Bike shop in my home town of Sydney, worked at Chain Reaction in Sydney's south one of the largest bike stores till moving to Qld and working with the Riders Group Brisbane a large bike chain circa 2002-2007. I then opened RideOnBmx in late 2007 which I grew and evolved into RideOn Indoor Park with location in melbourne and owner of Rampfest skatepark until late 2015 with more family commitments tugging at my time I sold them and Transitioned to 99bikes as a dynamic company and given the opportunity to run the Capalaba store, and early 2017 took on the opportunity to relocate to the Sunchine coast and Run the Kawana store.
Riding Experience: Travelled aboard from 16 years old on countless road trips & events around Australia and The USA, NZ and more and still ride Bmx to this day although these days I spend more time blasting Mtb trails as i developed a passion for that on the side around 25 in brisbane enjoying the outdoors with Mates and Competing in various events around SEQ for Enduro, as well as more importantly family rides to the beach at Curramundi or to the local skatepark with the kids these days.
What do you love about bikes?: Freedom, Fitness and jumping hips or blasting berms, Some people do Yoga, I ride bikes. Also watching and helping my kids learn to ride is the greatest both are starting to ride skateparks and bmx tracks and love to be on 2 wheels also.
Expertise: BMX Freestyle & MTB.
Current Bikes: Davinci Troy Carbon dual supension, S&M ATF custom Bmx, 2018 Merida Scultura 6000, merida Big Trail 27+ Hardtail and a KTM Duke motorbike.
Favourite Ride: Whistler Bikepark in canada on the MTB, Nimbin & Caloundra skateparks on Bmx, Dash from Caloundra to Point Cartwright on Roady and Mt Mee on the Motorbike.

Customer Service Experience: Four years in retail and another three in the aquatics industry.
Riding Experience: Have raced road and track from a young age but have had to "retire" from injuries.
What do you love about bikes?: The amount of technology packed into something so simple is astounding.
Expertise: I know my way around a track bike too well (but theres not much too them) and road bikes are a favourite.
Current Bikes: Specialized Venge, 3-speed used-to-be-a-fixie get around bike. Have sadly had to downsize my collection considerably.
Favourite Ride: The David Low Way to Noosa is always great to switch of the mind. And there's not too many hills!
Hobbies Outside of Bikes: Anything to do with the ocean, whether it be surfing, diving, or fishing
