E-Bikes use a combination of motor, battery, pedal assist and control systems to make traditional pedalling easier for the rider. Pedal assist e-bikes are fitted with a small motor powered by a rechargeable battery which kicks in when you pedal. You control the amount of assistance you require by using the control system on the handlebars.

Basic E-Bike Maintenance
Tyres: Check your tyre pressure for recommended pressure and inflate if required.
Brake: Pull each brake lever firmly and make sure it stops the wheels
Drivetrain: Make sure the chain moves freely on the drivetrain and doesn’t have any rust, lubricate if needed. Make sure your gears shift well and chain doesn’t slip on the sprockets
Battery: To keep your battery well maintained it’s recommended to charge frequently (even if the bike is not in use). Consult your owners manual for specific information.
Motor: Motors are a self contained unit and usually require no additional maintenance. Please come to the store if anything goes wrong.
