The GT Avalanche Expert is an awesome hardtail mountain bike for the rider that wants to develop their mountain biking on a hardtail. The brand new alloy 6061 frame is durable and lightweight and is built with internal cable routing which gives this bike a sleek and clean appearance. It also comes with stealth dropper post routing and floating seat stays to maximise comfort.
The Avalanche offers excellent value with the SRAM SX Eagle 1x12 speed drivetrain giving you crisp shifting and easy speed, this really is a great drivetrain on a bike at this price. The simple 1x12 speed setup is in line with current mountain bike trends, right through to pro level bikes. As it reduces maintenance and potential mechanical failures while still offering a range of gears that allows you to perform on any climb or descent. The Shimano MT400 Hydraulic Disc Brakes are another standout feature on the avalanche, offering you complete control over the Avalanche so that you can ride with confidence on any trail, in any conditions. While the RockShox Recon RL Remote fork with 120mm travel gives you enough travel to really push the Avalanche on the dirt. You'll be equipped to take on a wide variety of terrains with the Vittoria Barzo tyres built for sharp rocks, ditches and everything in between.
