"Elite’s Direto XR is a quiet and reliable smart trainer, with good ride feel and accurate power measurement. It has excellent specs for the money, and the value proposition is only improved by the inclusion of accessories like the cassette and riser block. The external build quality doesn’t quite live up to some of its peers, but whether this has any bearing on long-term performance for the majority of riders is debatable. Overall, though, the Direto XR is a great option for any serious indoor cyclist."

The Elite Direto XR is a high-quality smart trainer that offers an excellent riding experience with accurate power measurement thanks to the in-built power meter. You’ll be ready to ride straight out of the box with this easy setup as it comes pre installed with an 11-speed Shimano 11-28 cassette so that you can just place your bike on this trainer and go in a matter of minutes.
You’ll be able to train hard and produce up to 2300 watts, and then track your performance with precision thanks to the Optical Torque Sensor which is an innovative integrated power meter with accuracy ± 1.5%. The direct drive design is incredibly quiet and paired with the larger 5.1kg flywheel you can ride on a 24% gradient for all of your hill training needs, this is 6% more than the previous Direto x. This trainer is suitable for both road and mountain bikes so that everybody can use this trainer and with the ANT+/Bluetooth connectivity and you can take your training online with Zwift and all of your favourite online training apps. The finishing touch is the included riser block so that you have everything you need right from the start.
All in all the Elite Direto XR is up there with the best trainers on the market, offering reliable performance with a realistic feel and pleasingly accurate power measurement. The value for money is also a big plus, ready to ride from day one.
Integrated Power Meter
The OTS (Optical Torque Sensor) ensures the greatest data accuracy while you’re training. This is an innovative integrated power meter to measure power output with a ± 1,5% accuracy, 0.5 % more to the original Direto trainer. This is the only hometrainer in the world, along with the Drivo, Drivo II, Direto and Direto x trainers to actually measure your power output via an integrated power meter.
Incredible Slopes
With an upgraded and bigger flywheel, the DIRETO XR is able to simulate up to an incredible 24% slope gradient – 10% more than what the original Direto could do and a plus 6% than the Direto X. This unprecedented power level ensures excellent performances even during particularly intense training sessions - you'll be able the check out all your training charts, conduct tests to evaluate your fitness level, do reps and high-speed sprints.
Super Compatible
Complete compatibility with both road and MTB bicycles making it one of the most compatible trainers on the market. This trainer features a new structure which is perfect to house derailleurs with long cages that feature greater capacity on bigger 12-speed sprocket sets. This is how the DIRETO XR is compatible with 9/10/11 speed Shimano®/SRAM, 9/10/11/12 speed Campagnolo, 12 speed SRAM NX and 12 speed Shimano® micro Spline cassettes.
