The Merida eSpresso CC 400 SE EQ Electric Hybrid Bike combines city bike style with off-road capability to form the CC, a bike with step-through comfort and a robust design which is at home on the dirt of the bike paths. The modern design puts you in the most comfortable position, as the sturdy step-through triple-butted aluminium frame allows easy and smooth pedalling in an upright position. The Shimano STePS E8010 Battery and E6100 drive unit are smoothly integrated with the frame in a lower position. This gives the bike an optimal centre of gravity with balanced riding characteristics for a crisp ride. The eSpresso is a pedal-assist e-bike which means that when you pedal the e-bike components will kick in and give you a boost of speed for an easy ride.
On top of that, the internally routed cables give this bike a clean look, minimising maintenance and any noisy rattling. This bike rolls on Merida Comp TK rims and 27.5x2.25" Maxxis Crossmark II Tyres which give you speed, yet still excel on loose surfaces. Every box is ticked with the eSpresso CC, equipped with a kickstand, fenders, carrier, Abus frame lock and lights so that it is ready to go from the first moment. The Merida eSpresso CC 400 SE EQ is an e-bike that combines comfort with capability for a ride that is ready for any occasion.
Shimano STEPS E6100 Drive Unit
The Shimano STEPS E6100 is a powerful but quiet motor that offers a natural pedaling experience. With a low weight of 2.88kg, and a sleek, compact design that integrates with the frame, this motor not only functions well but looks amazing. Incredibly durable and able to withstand all weather conditions, you don't need to worry about getting caught out in the rain. Featuring a huge 60Nm of torque to help you up steep hills, this engine is perfect for commuters and urban riders.
Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Disc brakes provide better braking performance in all conditions, unlike rim brakes which can be heavily impacted by dust and water, disc brakes maintain control in all conditions. These brakes give you confidence that you'll stop when you need to and with a hydraulic system you will have greater control and have better feedback through your levers, hydraulic systems aren't prone to cable stretch and self-adjust as your brake pads wear down - meaning you can focus on the riding!
