The Merida Matts J. 20 Plus Disc is a kid's bike made for the smaller rider who wants premium comfort and safety all in a fun fat-tyred monster truck of a bike! The J+ alloy frame keeps the weight to the absolute minimum and is designed with youth optimised geometry, making it much easier to handle and control than a steel frame which is often standard in kids' bikes. The powerful hydraulic disc brakes give extra stopping power and more confidence when braking offroad, adding extra safety to their ride, while the oversized and grippy 20" "Plus" tyres make this bike a blast to ride! The rigid front forks help keep weight down, and the Shimano drivetrain offers a smooth ride. Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Disc Brakes provide you with better braking performance in all conditions, unlike rim brakes which can be heavily impacted by dust and water, disc brakes maintain control in all conditions. These brakes give you confidence that you'll stop when you need to and with a hydraulic system you will have greater control and have better feedback through your levers, hydraulic systems aren't prone to cable stretch and self adjust as your brake pads wear down - meaning you can focus on the riding!
Aluminium Frame
This double-butted aluminium frame offers strength and durability while keeping the weight down. Perfect for kids who can be hard on their bikes, this frame will stand up to the knocks while also still being light enough for them to handle with ease.
Kid-Specific Geometry
