The Merida Matts J24 disc is a kid's mountain bike made for those who want premium comfort mixed with fun. The lightweight alloy frame is much easier to handle and control than a steel frame which is often standard in kids' bikes. Made for offroad riding, but versatile enough to ride to school and back and around the local park, the Matts J24 is all about quality and comfort. The hydraulic disc brakes give extra stopping power and more confidence when braking offroad, adding extra safety to their ride. The 50mm Suntour front suspension gives a more comfortable ride, helping to soak up the bumps, meaning the Matts J24 has added comfort, even for the more adventurous rider. These combined with the Junior-specific components such as the Merida Expert JR saddle and handlebars, and you have a bike that is perfectly designed for the younger rider, but still has all the same quality that you know and love in adult Merida bikes! Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Disc Brakes provide you with better braking performance in all conditions, unlike rim brakes which can be heavily impacted by dust and water, disc brakes maintain control in all conditions. These brakes give you confidence that you'll stop when you need to and with a hydraulic system you will have greater control and have better feedback through your levers, hydraulic systems aren't prone to cable stretch and self adjust as your brake pads wear down - meaning you can focus on the riding!
