The Merida Big Seven 20-D is a hardtail mountain bike is that is built for recreational cross-country riding. The Big Seven 20-D is equipped with the 2019 RaceLite 6061 Aluminium frame which is a lighter and more advanced frame than previous years. The frame is lighter, yet stiffer because of additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thickness. This means that you get a quality frame at an affordable price. The Big Seven 20-D has 27.5” wheels and 100mm travel suspension fork with a lockout. The SR Suntour fork offers 100mm of travel to smooth the bumps on the trail and this is ideal for riding more efficiently on smooth surfaces as well as climbing out of the saddle. If you are riding on smoother terrain and want to conserve some energy, the fork lock out feature can be accessed simply from the top of the fork leg.
It is also equipped with Shimano disc brakes for reliability regardless of the conditions and improved control. The Merida Big Seven 20-D is a versatile mountain bike that provides exceptional quality and specs for the price. The Merida Big Seven 20-D’s lightweight and durable frame, lockout on the suspension fork and quality range of Shimano parts, make this bike an enjoyable and efficient ride for those that want to have fun on the trails.
Racelite 61 aluminium 2019: We use a minimum of 6061 aluminium. The pay back is that it’s possible to make lighter and more advanced frames. We use an additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thicknesses to produce light and stiff frames.
Tfs - Techno Forming System 2019: Technoforming is a mechanical forming process, shaping the tubes by using negative moulds, at times combined with a metal internal core.
F-mount 2019: ‘f-mount’ equipped bikes have integrated fittings for mud guards (some bikes require model specific mud guards), making fitting fast and simple.
K-mount drop-out 2019: Integrated mount on the chainstay to fit a Merida kick stand.
C-mount 2019: ‘c-mount’ equipped bikes have the fixing points for a rear rack already integrated (some bikes require model specific rear rack), making fitting fast, simple and reliable.
Lock-out 2019: The suspension fork and/or rear shock can be locked, either directly or via a ‘remote control’ lever on the handlebar.

In September 1972, Ike Tseng (1932–2012) a brilliant engineer and visionary founded MERIDA. While visiting the USA, Ike saw a sign in a bike shop that stated refusal to repair any Taiwanese bikes, due to the unfavourable quality. As a result of this he set out to fulfil his dream of high quality bikes made in Taiwan and formed the MERIDA Industry Company Ltd.
The MERIDA name has three syllables Me-Ri-Da and it is the company’s intention to manufacture beautiful, high quality bikes that enables everyone to reach their destination enjoyably. MERIDA created a world-leading bike factory but Ike still wasn’t satisfied, so in 1988 the MERIDA brand was launched. Ike’s vision is still very much a part of MERIDA, manufacturing all kinds of bikes from children’s bikes to world-class professional road and mountain bikes for the Bahrain- MERIDA team riders. Everybody has a different journey, and everyone can benefit from a MERIDA.
