The Pivot Firebird Race XT is a high-performance enduro bike that is built to the highest standards and delivers with astonishing brilliance on every single ride. The Firebird Race XT is no regular long-travel mountain bike, built with pro-riders in mind the Firebird is the best of the best. It all starts with the lightweight, yet tough as nails carbon frame which is built with Pivot’s own hollow-core, high-compression carbon molding process which delivers a frame as tough and lightweight as Pivot’s own World Cup downhill bikes.

Everything on the Pivot Firebird is integrated perfectly to match and complement each party, with a state of the art suspension system utilising the best attributes of Dave Weagle’s renowned DW-Link® rear suspension which will give you the square-edge bump absorption of a downhill bike and the sharp and smooth pedaling efficiency of a shorter travel mountain bike.  The Firebird is equipped with Fox’s renowned Performance DX2 rear shock. Used by many of Pivot’s top races this shock offers amazing control and tuneability so that you can ride with unmatched confidence. To match these high standards, it has been paired with a Fox Performance 36 Fork with 170mm travel and everything you could ask for in a bike of this caliber. The Shimano XT 11-speed drivetrain is pure class, offering you the range to tackle any challenge with crisp efficiency. When you’re tearing it up thanks to the amazing efficiency of the suspension system and drivetrain you’ll need top-level brake power to handle this beast, and the Shimano XT MT520 Hydraulic Disc Brakes are up to the test, delivering unmatched control in every single situation. On top of this, Pivot really have thought of everything, from the simple and easy to maintain internal cabling to the Sunringle Duroc 35mm wheels.

Pivot Carbon: Pivot utilizes a proprietary hollow-core internal molding technology to create the highest quality handmade carbon frames available.  Thanks to our own hollow-core, high-compression carbon molding process and an exacting combination of composite materials and shapes, Pivot are able to deliver an ultra-light frame that meets the same stringent testing requirements for strength and stiffness as our World Cup downhill bike.

Long and Low Geometry: Pivot's long and low geometry puts the rider "in" the bike. Taking a page from the Phoenix DH Carbon’s progressive geometry, the Firebird features some of the longest reach measurements in the sport, combined with super-short, 16.95”chainstays. The resulting long front-center keeps the front wheel in contact with the trail on the ups and gives the Firebird a perfectly balanced, highly capable technical climbing ability over rough terrain.
