Bell brings race-born technology to everyday riders, so you get serious engineering without serious prices. Every helmet is built with real safety, comfort and ride pleasure in mind.
Bell’s designs are all about smart protection, clean fit and freedom to ride — for kids, trail riders and full-face fans alike.
The Bell Story
Founded in 1954 by Roy Richter, Bell started in a small California speed-shop turning hot rods into safer machines. Early innovations like the first mass-produced open-face and full-face racing helmets set Bell apart. Decades later Bell adopted technologies like MIPS and developed Spherical Technology to manage impact forces better and protect brains in real crashes.
That focus on impact energy, fit and ventilation comes through in every cycling lid Bell makes today — helping riders ride longer, more confident and safer, whether they’re commuting, hitting single track or racing downhill.

Why Ride Bell?
- Safety innovations matter. Bell’s Spherical Technology powered by MIPS lets the outer liner move over the inner liner to help redirect impact forces away from the brain in angled crashes.
- Progressive layering equals better protection. Dual-density or multi-density inner foams in many Bell helmets absorb both low and high speed impacts more effectively than single-density liners.
- Fit and ventilation you’ll notice. Systems like Float Fit and Overbrow ventilation deliver airflow, adjustability and comfort, especially through hot Aussie rides.
- Heritage you can trust. Bell has more than six decades of helmet engineering from motorsport to cycling, so every helmet comes backed by history, testing and continuous refinement.
Popular Bell Ranges Explained
Bell Crest
The Bell Crest comes in youth-friendly size ranges and lightweight shell design that’s ideal for beginners. It features extended rear coverage, a secure Ergo-Fit dial and strong ventilation so kids stay comfy whether riding around the park or rolling home from school.
Bell 4forty
The Bell 4forty is built for Mountain Bike trail riders. Tough polycarbonate in-mould shells, solid coverage where it counts, and plenty of vents keep heat at bay when you’re climbing steep tracks or descending rocky terrain.
Bell Full-10
The Bell Full-10 uses Spherical Technology powered by MIPS inside a carbon fibre shell to protect during high impact and rotation. Big vents and a secure retention system make it feel surprisingly breathable for a full-face lid. Great for Downhill, enduro or bike-park shredding.
Bell Super 3r
The Bell Super 3r is a convertible full-face helmet with a removable chin-bar, giving you both trail-bike protection and open-face comfort in one piece. Smart engineering keeps you safe when you need it, and adaptable when you don’t.
Bell Z20
The Bell Z20 is a road cycling favourite. Integrated MIPS, Progressive Layering foam and Overbrow Ventilation give improved impact protection, airflow and comfort on rides of all lengths. Its Float Fit Race retention system lets you fine-tune fit for sustained comfort.
Bell Sanction
The Bell Sanction is made for bold full-face performance, built tough for bike parks and aggressive terrain. With solid shell materials and coverage over chin, cheeks and skull, it protects riders pushing their downhill or park limits.
