The Merida Speeder 400 Flat Bar Road Bike is is lightweight and fast, it shares it shares its DNA with Merida's drop bar road bikes range with the major difference being the more comfortable upright riding position. The Merida Speeder 400 Flat Bar Road bike is an excellent mid range bike with Shimano 105 performance components at great value and a sporty carbon fork the Speeder gives you a comfortable ride that feels fast which is perfect for commuting, recreation or getting fit!
Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Disc Brakes provide you with better braking performance in all conditions, unlike rim brakes which can be heavily impacted by dust and water, disc brakes maintain control in all conditions. These brakes give you confidence that you'll stop when you need to and with a hydraulic system you will have greater control and and have better feedback through your levers, hydraulic systems aren't prone to cable stretch and self adjust as your brake pads wear down - meaning you can focus on the riding!
Comfortable Geometry
This bike is sporty yet comfortable, it has a more upright seating position thanks to additional height at the front of the bike in the at the headset. This bike is accessible and ready to ride without a bunch of riding experience!
Tyre Clearance 37mm
This bike comes with an array of modern features including greater clearances in the frame and fork to allow for wider tyres up to 37mm. This extra width provides improved braking power and maximises traction on the road, with a 37mm tyre you can also run slightly lower pressures maintaining fast rolling speeds with better all day comfort as the tyre deflects better to small imperfections in the road. When using fenders you'll be restricted to 32mm of tyre width!

With 2 chainrings at the front you'll be prepared to take on any ride, short, steep, long or flat!
