The eBIG TOUR 400 EQ frame is made from Merida's tough aluminium, with an intube Shimano E8035 battery seamlessly combining with the frame to create a cohesive e-bike unit. Which is paired with the reliable Shimano E7000 drive unit which has plenty of power to climb up steep hills and get you where you need to go. This electric bike is pedal assist which means that when you start pedalling the motor will kick in to top up your speed so that you can barely break a sweat on your commute. Not only do the e-bike components offer a smooth and relaxed ride, but the large 29” wheels and Maxxis Ikon tyres will glide over rough terrain in as much comfort as possible on an e-hybrid bike

This e-bike is high-quality from top to bottom, as the Shimano e-bike components combine with the Shimano groupset for a crisp and extremely reliable ride. The eBIG TOUR 400 EQ is equipped with Shimano MT-200 Hydraulic Disc Brakes for unparalleled braking control in any conditions, so that you can ride with confidence knowing that you can stop on a dime when you need to. Merida have stacked this bike with a heap of extra accessories, making it excellent value as it comes with front and rear lights, an Abus 5650 frame lock, Fenders, rear rack and kickstand.

Features

Lockout Forks: The suspension fork can be locked out - either directly or via a 'remote control' lever on the handlebar. Perfect for smooth climbs or when you push hard on the pedals while standing up. 

Internal Cable Routing/ Smart Entry: We feature internal cable routing on all our eBIG.TOUR models, cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. Only a clever system for our internal guiding and fixing guarantees reliable and rattle free routing and gives the bike a cleaner look. 

X-Taper: Tapered head tube with 1 1/8, bearings in the top and 1 1/2, in the bottom. Combined with a tapered steerer tube (the respective part on the fork) creates superb stiffness and precise confidence-inspiring steering. 

Size Specific Wheels:  Dependent on frame size we offer 650b or 29er wheels. Based on the requirements of smaller riders (reduced stand over height, preferred lower cockpit) our small frames are 650b only whilst at the other side of the spectrum L and XL only come with 29er wheels.
