The Merida Big Nine 7000 is a high-quality hardtail that combines aggressive agility with smooth stability to form an excellent modern XC bike. The CF3 Carbon frame is light, stiff and tough so that you can get the most of every ride, paired with a RockShox SID SL Fork (42mm offset) with 100mm travel and remote lockout. It is designed with Merida's race-proven geometry with a shorter top tube and a higher head tube for a slightly upright position that gives you improved visibility.

A great frame needs to be matched with a great groupset and the 1x12 speed Shimano XT drivetrain offers smooth shifting and the simple efficiency of the 1x is now standard on all good mountain bikes. This will give you the range of gears you need to tear up the trails on the Maxxis Ikon 29" tyres and high-quality Reynolds TR 249 Rims. The Shimano XT 2 piston hydraulic disc brakes give you the control you need with all of that easy speed, you can attack every corner and descent with confidence and unrivalled control. The 7000 is very similar to the Merida Big Nine 5000, only with an ungraded XT groupset, higher quality fork and rims for an altogether improved riding experience.
