They gave it a DWR finish so mud and water roll off. They gave the short two top-opening pockets like jeans so that whatever you put in there won't fall out. They made the cut fairly close to the body so you look good off the bike but the short doesn't balloon out when you're on the bike. The short doesn't have its own seat pad, so wear this over your favorite Castelli shorts or Knicks.
