The Skyway TA 20 Replica BMX Bike is the second generation of the original TA from the early 80's, with the same genuine drop tubing of the TA (Totally Aerodynamic). Features classic 5-spoke design the Genuine USA-made Skyway Tuff Wheel IIs wrapped in Retro Tioga Comp III tyres. The 21.5" top tube has retro padding with the iconic Skyway logo.

Scott Shepherd has been distributing Skyway products in Australia since 1978, to quote him "Owning a Skyway is not like just owning a bike. You are investing in BMX History that will be part of this sport for eternity"

What's similar to the original?

These are 2022 made frames built using the same teardrop TA tubing as in the 1980’s, however there are slight changes. We have redesigned these frames from the 2012 rerelease, back closer to the way they were in the 80’s. The 20” version now features a 21.5”TT, (24” has a 22” TT) full Chromoly teardrop TA Tubing, 1” Threaded fork steerer, USA BB set, side pull calliper brake mounts and a 25.4mm seatpost tube. The TA fork and Handlebar are also full Chromoly.

How is this product different?

Each bike and Frameset will be a numbered product to give this new complete, a mystique of its own. It will never be a genuine original 80’s model, but will be an affordable collector bike, or a fun retro all day get around bike.

Who is this product designed for?

For collectors who want to own a genuine Skyway, although this is not an original the new collaboration between Scott Shepherd and Ken Coster draws on a 40 year relationship and passion to bring a genuine Skyway BMX to fruition again in 2022.
